Toronto Blue Jays SP Brett Cecil gave up 2 hits, 2 walks, and no runs while striking out 3 Los Angeles Angels on Monday.
Our Instinct: Cecil is now 4-2 with a 4.10 era, 33 k’s, and 12 walks on the season. Throw out the 8 runs he gave up to the Texas Rangers on May 14th, Cecil has pitched very well. In his last 2 games hes thrown 13.2 innings and given up only 2 runs. Just as impressively he’s only issued 3 walks in that time. You still might want to let him sit on the bench against better lineups, especially at home if you have better options.
