Giants | Prospect C Buster Posey Bay Area Ready

San Francisco GiantsSan Francisco Giants C prospect Buster Posey went 1-3 with his 2nd 3B of the season. His season average is currently being wasted in AAA at a .343 clip.

Our Instinct: OK, so maybe some of the instinct slipped out in the game notes. I’m at the point where the business side of the game sometimes bothers me even though I understand it. The Giants need offense. Posey is the best option they have even if he isn’t going to be their #1 catcher in 2010. It’s time to get his feet wet in the Bigs. Let him play 1B, OF and catch some. Let him hang out with his future battery mates. There is nothing to lose at this point. He’s going to hit and if he struggles it’ll be growing pains he can get out of the way now instead of 2011 when this team should start competing annually for the NL West.

I was born and raised in NYC. My father was a diehard Yankees fan but not biased and raised me to love the game more than any one team. For that I'm truly thankful to him. My love for the game runs deep, and after crunching numbers all day long, I tend to spend my nights at the FSL ballparks.
