Chicago White Sox 1B prospect Dayan Viciedo went 2-4 with his 10th HR yesterday raising his season average to .297 for AAA.
Our Instinct: Viciedo is widely known as a power hitting prospect and for his age is showing advanced skills at AAA. He has not been able to stick at 3B and the OF is probably not an option. He’s still young and still developing as a hitter so there may still be some upside to his batting average and the power is legit. Will he ever hit .300 in the majors? Doubtful, but he can flash a decent bat with excellent power in time.
