Angels | 1B Kendry Morales out after grand slam
by George Utter on May 30, 2010
Los Angeles Angels 1B Kendry Morales hit a walk off grand slam to defeat the Seattle Mariners 5-1 on Saturday night and broke his ankle celebrating at home plate.
Our Instinct: What an amazingly fluky thing to have happen to one of the best players the Angels have to offer. This will be a tough loss for the Angels, who are trying to fight their way back to the top of the AL West. Morales will have surgery today and is very likely to miss the rest of the 2010 season. Fantasy owner’s can’t help feeling crushed today.
