Rockies | SP Ubaldo Jimenez picks up tenth win

Colorado RockiesColorado Rockies SP Ubaldo Jimenez picked up his 10th win by throwing a complete game shutout against the San Francisco Giants on Monday.

Our Instinct:  Jimenez is just plain silly.  He gave up 4 hits and walked 2, while striking out 9.  He’s now 10-1 with a 0.78 era (not a typo), with 70 k’s and 26 walks in 80.1 innings.  His only loss of the season came while giving up 1 run in 7 innings.  He has 11 starts on the season and a decision in everyone.  Yes, He is an animal and No, you have no shot at trading for him right now.

Closing in on 25 years of following the greatest game in the world very closely. I can remember as a kid how excited I was when a player that I had watched in the minors make his major league debut. The same holds true today. We designed Baseball Instinct with that in mind; getting you the fan excited to get out and see the see the stars of tomorrow - today!
