Cardinals SP Adam Wainwright picked up his 9th win of the season by defeating the Mariners 9-3. He went 7 innings giving up 3 runs on 6 hits and a walk, while striking out 6.
Our Instinct: Wainwright improves to 9-3 with a 2.41 era, 97 k’s, and 28 walks. He’s still hanging in there with Ubaldo Jimenez and Roy Halladay in the NL CY Young race.
