San Francisco Giants SP Tim Lincecum picked up his seventh win of the season by striking out 10 Baltimore Orioles on Wednesday. He left the game in the seventh inning after taking a shot off his right shoulder by Orioles 3B Miguel Tejada.
It’s always scary with a ball coming back at you, but Lincecum, who walked off on his own power, should be fine for his next start. Lincecum is now 7-2 with a 3.11 era, 106 k’s, and 37 walks on the season. He’s an elite without doubt, but he has fallen way behind in his bid for hs 3rd straight CY Young award.
