Rockies | SP Ubaldo Jimenez faces tough test Thursday

Colorado RockiesColorado Rockies SP Ubaldo Jimenez will be going for his 13th win of the Season Thursday and is on a pace for 30 wins on the season.  He faces a tough test in Minnesota Twins who are 22-12 at home on the season.

Our Instinct:  Mauer vs Jimenez.  That alone makes this a game well worth watching.  Jimenez, who is 12-1 with 3 complete games, 2 shutouts, and a 1.16 era is not going to win 30 games.  However, we do feel hes got a shot at being the Rockies 1st 20 game winner and within reason of reaching 25 wins.  With Roy Halladay’s implosion yesterday, he will add a little distance in the NL CY Young race between himself and Halladay/Wainwright with a good showing tomorrow.

Closing in on 25 years of following the greatest game in the world very closely. I can remember as a kid how excited I was when a player that I had watched in the minors make his major league debut. The same holds true today. We designed Baseball Instinct with that in mind; getting you the fan excited to get out and see the see the stars of tomorrow - today!
