Giants | SP prospect Madison Bumgarner gets the call
by Thomas Belmont on June 26, 2010
Henry Schulman of the San Francisco Chronicle confirms that the Giants will call up Madison Bumgarner to start Saturday against the Red Sox.
Our Instinct: Bumgarner will be making his debut against a beat up Red Sox lineup but it’s still no easy task. He’s turned around his poor start in AAA due to what looks to have been a tired arm. His velocity has slowly come back and he’s shown recently why he’s one of the top pitching prospects in baseball. Expect some growing pains for the young lefty. In deeper leagues he’s got some serious upside for deep in your SP ranks.
