Mets | SP Johan Santana treated rudely by former mates
by George Utter on June 26, 2010
New York Mets SP Johan Santana gave up 5 runs on 8 hits and 2 walks, while striking out 4 in a 6-0 loss in his first start against his former team, the Minnesota Twins.
Our Instinct: We thought when Santana was traded to the Mets that he was a much better fit with the Twins. Time has not proven us wrong. Even SP Carl Pavano, who is 9-6 on the season with Twins, had a couple of hits off of Santana. Santana is 5-5 with a 3.55 era, 66 k’s, and 33 walks. That project’s out to an 11-11 season and that’s simply not going to get it done for the Mets or more importantly, fantasy owners.
