Red Sox placed 2B Dustin Pedroia on the 15-day disabled list with non-displaced fracture in his left foot.
Our Instinct: Even a minimal fracture is going to put Pedroia out for an extended period of time, possibly 6-8 weeks. Even if Pedroia is able to come back within 6 weeks this is still a huge blow to the Red Sox and to his fantasy owners. The former MVP was on pace for his first 20/20 season and this will take that out of the realm of possibility.
I was born and raised in NYC. My father was a diehard Yankees fan but not biased and raised me to love the game more than any one team. For that I'm truly thankful to him.
