Pirates | SP Ross Ohlendorf earns first 2010 win against Philly
by David Reiffer on July 3, 2010
Pittsburgh Pirates SP Ross Ohlendorf, with only two runs of support, blanked the Philadelphia Phillies for 7 innings, struck out 8, and walked only one. Should be noted that in Pittsburgh’s last 3 games, each of the three Pirate starting pitchers (Lincoln, McCutchen, and now Ohlendorf) have earned their first wins of the season.
Our Instinct: Ohlendorf hasn’t given up a run in his last 13 innings. As long as he’s hot, feel confident plugging him into your fantasy line-up, but dont’ get carried away. Afterall, he still pitches for the Pirates.
