Mets | SP Hisanori Takahashi defeats Nationals
by George Utter on July 5, 2010
New York Mets SP Hisanori Takahashi defeat the Washington Nationals 9-5 on Sunday by going 5 innings, giving up 3 runs on 9 hits and 2 walks. He also tied a season high by striking out 7 batters.
Our Instinct: He’s 7-3 with a 4.32 era, 70 k’s, and 30 walks in 75 innings. He doesn’t pitch deep enough into games for our taste, we’re a big fan of quality starts, which he has on 4 of on the season. Having said that, he’s still a pretty decent option at the end of fantasy rotations.
