Wilmington Blue Rocks C Wil Myers lit up the opposition yesterday for two hits, including a double, scoring two runs in 4 at bats. This 6′-3″ 19 year old was one of the best pure high school hitters of the 2009 amateur draft.
Our Instinct: The freshly promoted catcher has been on fire ever since his move from the Midwest League to the Class A-advanced Carolina League. Hitting .500 for his first three games in the league, if this kind of production continues, young Wil could move fast.
