Royals | C Wil Myers comes up big

Wilmington Blue Rocks C Wil Myers lit up the opposition yesterday for two hits, including a double, scoring two runs in 4 at bats.  This 6′-3″ 19 year old was one of the best pure high school hitters of the 2009 amateur draft.

Our Instinct:  The freshly promoted  catcher has been on fire ever since his move from the Midwest League to the Class A-advanced Carolina League.  Hitting .500 for his first three games in the league, if this kind of production continues, young Wil could move fast.  Check out our Top Midwest Leagues Hitters list coming out soon for more info on Myers.
