Phillies | 2B Chase Utley motivated to return early
by George Utter on July 7, 2010
Philadelphia Phillies 2B Chase Utley told the press that he wants to return in 6 weeks instead of 8 weeks.
Our Instinct: After having off season hip surgery in the off season of 2008, Utley was suppose to miss 6 months, but was ready for opening day 2009 – so we won’t doubt him. However, he just had surgery on his thumb and you can be sure the Phillies won’t take any risks with their prized 2b. We will monitor things closely and he should be ready for fantasy baseball playoffs.
