Rangers | OF Josh Hamilton named June AL POM
by George Utter on July 7, 2010
Texas Rangers OF Josh Hamilton was named the American League Player of the Month for June.
Our Instinct: To say Hamilton was on fire in June would be like saying a little oil got spilled in the Gulf. He hit .454 (49-108) with 10 doubles, 9 hr’s, 31 rbi, and stole 3 bases. He was elected to his third straight fan-elected start in the All-Star game in Anaheim. Josh collected the most votes of AL OF’s with 2,840,816 votes. He’s hitting .342 with 21 hr’s, 62 rbi, 55 runs, and 6 sb. If you’re keeping track, that’s a pace of .342-42-123-113-12, making him, well, just ridiculous.
