Boston Red Sox SP Josh Beckett threw 64 pitches in a simulated 4 inning game against Red Sox minor leaguers Tuesday at Tropicana Field in Tampa.
Our Instinct: Beckett, who has been on the DL with a bad back since May 19th, will pitch on Sunday for Triple-A Pawtucket. He should throw between 65-70 pitches and if all goes well he should be back in the Red Sox Rotation by the end of the month.
