Nationals | 3B Ryan Zimmerman heats up
by David Reiffer on July 9, 2010
Washington Nationals 3b Ryan Zimmerman added 2 hits, 1 run, and 1 rbi in 4 trips to the plate Wednesday during the Nats 7-6 victory over the Padres.
Our Instinct: Not a bad performance, especially when Adam Dunn goes yard three times in the same game. But the slick-fielding Zimmerman is on a hot streak of his own. In the last three games, Zim has gone 8 for 13 with 3 homers, 7 rbi, and scoring 4 runs. He is showing that the solid production from 2009 is not a fluke. Watch this kid race up the rankings by the end of this season.
