Rangers | 1B Chris Davis will get another shot
by George Utter on July 9, 2010
Texas Rangers 1B Chris Davis will take over as the everyday 1B with Justin Smoak being dealt to the Seattle Mariners on Friday.
Our Instinct: Davis gets another shot. He strikes out a ton and plays pretty weak in the field, but fantasy leaguers can’t be concerned with that. He’s currently hitting .354 with 10 hr’s, 56 rbi, 41 runs, and 3 sb. He’s going to have some decent value down the stretch. You don’t want him as your main 1B, but he will make a decent CI or DH.
