Rangers | SP Cliff Lee acquired from Mariners

Texas Rangers SP Cliff Lee could make his debut with the Rangers on Saturday after being traded to them from the Seattle Mariners for 1B Justin Smoak and Minor Leaguer SP Blake Beavan, SP Josh Lueke and 2B Matt Lawson.

Our Instinct:  While this helps the Rangers chances of moving into the post season and beyond, this does not do a lot for Cliff Lee’s value.  His era should climb a little, but then he might not lose another game with the run support that he is getting.
