Royals | Prospect Moustakas Promoted
by Thomas Belmont on July 15, 2010
Royals prospect third baseman Mike Moustakas was promoted to Triple-A Omaha.
Our Instinct: With a disappointing 2009 campaign by lofty standards as a top prospect, Moustakas has redeemed himself back into the upper echelon of hitting prospects. His .251 average in 2009 skewed the power potential still present. But in 2010 he’s locked in at .347 and already has 21 HRs. He’ll take his talents to Triple A Omaha where former 3B of the future Alex Gordon is currently manning the OF.
