Diamondbacks | SP Daniel Hudson shuts down Mets
by David Reiffer on August 2, 2010
Arizona Diamondbacks SP Gavin Floyd picks up his first win as a Diamondback against the New York Mets on Sunday in a 14-1 drubbing. Going 8 innings, the 23-year-old confounded New York to the tune of only 3 hits and 1 run.
Our Instinct: This was the best performance of young Hudson’s major league career, but keep an eye on his recent flyball tendencies. Throughout his minor league career, he has posted some excellent GB% (between 40-50%). Hudson in 4 major league starts he has been at 27%. His new home field is a dangerous place to be a flyball pitcher.
