Astros | 1B Brett Wallace gets first Big League hit
by George Utter on August 3, 2010
Houston Astros 1B Brett Wallace went picked up his 1st big league hit Sunday against the Milwaukee Brewers, then got his 2nd hit and 1st rbi Monday against the St. Louis Cardinals.
Our Instinct: Wallace sure does get around. The 13th pick in the 2008 MLB 1st year player draft, Wallace has been with the Cardinals, Athletics, Blue Jays, and now the Astros. He’s got a chance to stick around with the Big club the rest of the season, but if that doesn’t work out the Astros may go with Carlos Lee at first base.
