Brewers | SP Yovani Gallardo punches out twelve
by George Utter on August 3, 2010
Milwaukee Brewers SP Yovani Gallardo went 6 innings Monday night, striking out 12 while giving up just 2 hits and a run over 6 innings. He issued just 1 walk in the 95 pitch, 18-1 destruction of the Chicago Cubs.
Our Instinct: Yovi was dialed in tonight. After getting treated rudely by the Cincinnati Reds his last time out, he simply abused the checked-out Cubs. He’s 10-5 with a impressive 2.71 era, 142 k’s, and 51 bb in 126.1 innings. He’s looking like a 15 game winner for the 1st time in his short career.
