Tigers | SP Rick Porcello picks up fifth win
by George Utter on August 10, 2010
Detroit Tigers SP Rick Porcello went 6 innings, while giving up 2 earned runs on 8 hits and no walks. He also struck out 4 in the 9-4 win over the Los Angeles Angels.
Our Instinct: It’s been a bumpy year for Porcello, who is now 5-10 with a 5.74 era, 52 k’s, and 30 walks in 102 innings on the season, but let us not forget that he’s still only 21 years old and has a ton of potential. By all rights, he should be slaughtering Hi-A or Double-A hitters and being hyped up right now instead being beat up from the feet up.
