New York Yankees 1B Lance Berkman hit .248 with 14 HR, 58 RBI, 48 RUNS, and 3 SB over 404 AB in 122 games for the 2010 season.
Our Instinct: Berkman will be 35 in 2011 and is in a decline. Where he will play next season is also in question, as the Yankees have a $15 million option with a $2 million buy out. Chances are he will be in another uniform next season. If he can stay healthy and get full time work, he could be back in the 20+ hr range. Having said that, there’s plenty of better 1B options out there.
