Will Jake McGee be the guy Maddon counts on with the game on the line?

Tampa Bay RaysJoe Maddon has said he isn’t afraid to use any of his relief pitchers with the game on the line.  He proved that to be accurate when he brought in Rookie Jake McGee to face Brian Roberts on Saturday.  Roberts deposited McGee’s 3rd pitch into the left field seats.

Our Instinct:  Big deal.  We’ve seen the best of the best hang pitches over the plate.  Maddon will play slap ass with likes of Farnsworth, Howell, and Sonnanstine for awhile until McGee gets comfortable.  McGee is the guy you want in Tampa’s pen.

Closing in on 25 years of following the greatest game in the world very closely. I can remember as a kid how excited I was when a player that I had watched in the minors make his major league debut. The same holds true today. We designed Baseball Instinct with that in mind; getting you the fan excited to get out and see the see the stars of tomorrow - today!
