Halladay moves from the Toronto Blue Jays who scored 798 runs in 2009 to the Philadelphia Phillies who scored 820. Defensively, both teams rated pretty close. He went 6-7 with a sub 3.00 era vs the Yankees, Red Sox, and Rays. Roy also went 0-0 in 10 innings vs the Marlins and Braves, he posted a 0.90 era in his only 2 interleague games.

Coming into this season, Hamilton is healthy and happy to be back to his toe tapping batting stance. He's also pleased with the Rangers commitment to win. The pitching staff looks great and he will have Designated Hitter Vladimir Guerrero hitting behind him.

Vision problems contributed to Atlanta Braves' outfielder Nate McClouth down season. He could be a top 25 outfielder and a bounce back candidate for the upcoming season. Check out our 2010 projections for McLouth.

Shortstop Jose Reyes ,of the New York Mets, today told reporters that he feels like a little kid in Port St. Lucie, Florida. In his first work out session of the spring, he was said to be very quick. How quick? That hasn't been mentioned yet, but it's a huge part of Jose Reyes' game and all eyes, including prospective fantasy owners, will be on Reyes this spring.

You would have to think after San Francisco Giants ace Tim Lincecum's first 2 starts this season someone must of ran an ad in the newspaper: LOST - THE FREAK. REWARD, call Giant's pitching coach Dave Righetti. After all, Lincecum stood with a 7.56 era in only 8.1 innings pitched through 2 games. That's not a very good start for the 2008 NL CY Young winner.

Baseball Instinct, Inc recently had its Auction for its flagship fantasy league Baseball Tonight in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. We gathered league members from New York City, as far as Northwest Washington State and one member of our league even making it all the way from Hong Kong. We gathered for a weekend of Baseball, Friends and Food and got in our Annual Auction while we were at it. I want to take a moment to thank the staff of the Palm Beach Gardens DoubleTree Hotel for their time and effort as well as the staff at Taverna Opa in West Palm Beach for a great night of food and dancing.

The Baseball Instinct powers-that-be have charged me with one last article commenting on the fantasy impact of MLB players switching teams, and I’m afraid it’s bound to be a dull one, folks. “The NL West has gone flat,” writes the Sporting News in its 2009 baseball yearbook, and I’m inclined to agree as I try to gather interesting players to write about for this article. This of course, is partly a product of a depressed economy and slightly offset by the Manny “No Longer Godot” Ramirez signing with the Dodgers, but it certainly won’t make my job any easier. Anyway, here goes:

Continuing my attention to the fantasy impact of players on new teams in 2009, I turn my attention to the NL Central, a division with plenty of little nuances for me to talk about. My intellect is stimulating itself. I’m a naughty, naughty man.
The above paragraph is a demonstration of why I’m not allowed within 100 feet of the cheerleaders at my university.
Anyway, on to the players.
